The short answer
For iPhone, Apple's list of required sizes names one display: iPhone with Dynamic Island (medium display), 1206 × 2622 or 1179 × 2556 pixels. If your app runs on iPad, add at least one 13-inch iPad screenshot, 2064 × 2752 or 2048 × 2732. App Store Connect scales them down for the other displays.
Apple's size table also marks the large Face ID display (1284 × 2778 or 1242 × 2688) as required when there are no large Dynamic Island screenshots. Uploading a large Dynamic Island set as well, such as 1320 × 2868, covers both.
iPhone screenshot sizes
Sizes are portrait, in pixels; landscape swaps width and height. “Exported” marks the sizes the Drino Shots editor exports from one design.

Apple's rules for every screenshot
- At least one screenshot, and up to 10 for each display size.
- .jpeg, .jpg or .png files.
- No alpha channel or transparency.
- The exact pixel size of one of the accepted sizes, in portrait or landscape.
- Screenshots follow the App Store Review Guidelines.
- You can upload different screenshots for each language you localize the app into.
How scaling works
If your app looks the same across devices, Apple only needs the largest required screenshots: App Store Connect scales them down for smaller displays of the same kind. Each table above says which size a missing one is scaled from. Upload your largest screenshots at full size so the scaled versions stay sharp.
Export every size from one design
In Drino Shots you design on a 1320 × 2868 iPhone canvas (or 2064 × 2752 for iPad) and choose the sizes when you export. Each size is rendered at its exact pixel dimensions. Displays with another shape, such as the 1242 × 2208 home-button iPhone, keep the design's proportions and the background extends to fill them.

Questions
- Do I need screenshots for every size?
- No. Upload the required sizes and App Store Connect scales them down for the smaller displays. Upload other sizes only if you want screenshots made for those displays.
- Can App Store screenshots be landscape?
- Yes. Every size is accepted in portrait or landscape; the landscape version swaps width and height, so 1206 × 2622 becomes 2622 × 1206.
- How many screenshots can I upload?
- At least one, and up to 10 for each display size, as .jpeg, .jpg or .png files without transparency.
- Which sizes does Drino Shots export?
- The ones marked in the tables above. You design once on the largest iPhone or iPad canvas, then pick the sizes in the export dialog.
